Sports Injuries

About

Sports injuries are common among both recreational and competitive athletes and can occur from sudden trauma, overuse, improper technique, or inadequate warm-up. Common injuries include sprains, strains, tendonitis, dislocations, and ligament tears affecting areas such as the ankles, knees, shoulders, and back. These injuries often cause pain, swelling, reduced mobility, and muscle weakness, making it difficult to train or perform at full capacity. Without proper care, returning to activity too soon can lead to chronic issues or re-injury. Physiotherapy plays a vital role in both the treatment and prevention of sports injuries by restoring function, improving strength, and supporting safe return to sport.

Our Goal

  • Reduces pain and inflammation using treatments like ultrasound, TENS, and manual therapy.
  • Promotes healing and flexibility through guided stretching and mobility exercises.
  • Strengthens muscles and joints to prevent re-injury and improve performance.
  • Provides sport-specific rehabilitation and education to help athletes safely return to play and enhance physical conditioning.
